I’m like a walking lightning rod!!

With the weather cold and very dry at the moment, everything I touch gives me a zap — sometimes a teeny weeny zap to an all-round electrical charge, that I can feel vibrate! Like when I accidentally touched the prong on the Christmas lights cord!!!

Sometimes I’ve even seen a gigantic flash! :/

Someone suggested getting a magnetic bracelet when I commented on how I could feel the static coming off WALLS, even, and other furniture, when standing several inches away!

Certainly I have a few clothing items made from synthetic fabrics (and I DO use fabric softener/anti-statics), and I’m not about to rush out an buy a wardrobe of exclusively natural fibres.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Help me choose a gift!?

Okay, so I want to get my father a magnetic bracelet – he’s had one for several years, swears by them, and it’s DEFINITELY time for a new one lol.

Which of these two do you think would be better?

2) http://www.billythetree.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=664

or

3) Do you see another one on there that would be better? (I’ve shopped there before, and the service was awesome, so I want to stick with this site)

Thanks for your help!! I just don’t know which one would be more "manly" ;-)
Laura, as mentioned, my Dad swears by them, as do a lot of his tennis buddies…I’m not sure, but I’ve heard mostly positive things about ‘em…:-/

I have a homework assignment where I have to find 3 examples of household compounds, 3 examples of household mixtures, and 3 examples of household compounds, and name what they’re made of. I don’t want to us any of the examples (aluminm, copper, iron, carbon, sodium chloide, sucrose, soup, pizza or juice) and so far I have silver bracelet, gold earrings [elements] water (hydrogen + oxygen) and baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) [compounds] and air, (oxygen, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen) soil, and wood [mixtures]. If you have any more suggestions, corrections, information (like how I’m not sure what the mixtures are made of) or simpler ones, could you tell me? I’m going to be searching, but I also know that there’s a great community of wise helpful people on here that I shouldn’t take for granted. :]]

ANSWER!!! I love you all…Long Read?

Alright…Its hard to be concise and to the point, so this is going to be a tiny read.

So, there’s this girl. I’ve liked her for almost a year, and told her during the summer (while studying abroad in another country) that I liked her. She said she had already guessed and asked me why I didn’t tell her/ask her out. (Also, she and I had plans to hang out from April, and I left for Europe in June) I told her I wanted to make sure the time was right when I asked and that we didn’t just do some run of the mill thing without making it interesting and fun (as in, I wanted to do something maybe a bit more exciting then movies).

Btw, I happen to be 16 1/2 never had a girlfriend. Its not that I’m timid or anything, I just happen to attract shy girls (have recieved a few love notes), and I am what i am, I don’t change to suit the girl just for some kissing and whatnot. Oh haven’t kissed either (not sure this is relevent but Idk).

So we talked virtually every day for 150 days while I was in Portugal. We got closer in terms of knowning each other and having each other as listeners for each other. So I got back in December, visited her at school, got this huge run and jump hug attack from her, and then, on Christmas eve, drove to her house and gave her this (what I think is cool…) magnetic bracelet like this: http://www.thewishplace.com/store/images…

She said she really liked it, and for this first week of school, I’ve sat with her group (my best friend – a guy – is also with me at her group). I hadn’t talked to her on myspace since Portugal.

So today I recieved her message after sending her a myspace message, asking her why she doesn’t talk very much at lunch to me, and she said I was the one not talking to her (probably true, I lost some friendliness in Portugal). But its not against her. But some 8 times this week during lunch, she has "flirted" with me a little, so I know she’s not going cold or anything, I just want to know, what do i do from here? (Forgot to add over summer she did say, (after I told her I liked her) that I could ask her out anytime)

Basically…Does she still like me? Whats going through her mind? What do I do? Where should I take her on a date if she is still somewhat into me? *sighs* I don’t really know to deal with a relationship this far, because this is the first time I was the one who was attracted to her, and later she became friendlier and gave me the opportunity to date her, only I was in Portugal…. And I don’t want this opportunity to go cold, I genuinely like her.

I am a guest at a friend’s wedding in a little more than a week, and I just purchased a dress to wear. However, I’m not sure what color shoes/other accessories to wear. I do have to wear flats because my feet do not do well in heels (as much as I love them, they are incredibly painful so I try to avoid wearing them if possible).

I am wearing this dress: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v600/lissapup/dress.jpg along with a black short-sleeved shrug.

I am also wearing a necklace that is very important to me: it’s a silver circular pendant with a smaller teardrop copper pendant on top. I have 3 holes in each earlobe and a pearl bracelet with crystals as well.

What color shoes should I wear? What about a purse/bag? I also want to wear some kind of headband (I can’t do too much with my hair at the time, but I LOVE headbands anyways).

Thanks for the help! I love you all!
